Now that we all have more free time than we ever imagined, this is the time for turning your garden into a space you love- whether that’s a place of beauty and relaxation or an active entertaining spot or whatever you desire! Here is one silver lining on Covid-19- the kids are home, and well, at our house we call that free labor!
Having the kids help with the garden is not only relaxing for them, its a way to burn off some of that kid energy and also could be considered science class!
So, we are in the correct season for planting, you have some time and free labor lined up, but now what?
You don't want to invest in plants and do the work and then not have it all come to fruition! Gardens need to be thought out and designed, especially with our hot climate here in El Dorado Hills. In a few months from now the temperatures will be soaring and if you have not chosen the correct plants and/or the correct plant locations- all that hard work will have been for nothing.
I am offered a Covid-19 special- I will come to your home (staying 6 feet away of course) and walk with you through your garden. I will listen to your ideas and concerns and then share with you some of my ideas. Then I will draft a garden design for you with a plant key so you will know what to purchase. I will make sure all these plants can be purchased at the local stores that are still open: Home Depot, Lowes and Green Acres.
Now you will have a plan for your garden that you know will work! Grab your gloves, shovels, and of course that free labor, and start working on your garden!
