Some of My Favorite Things - Sketch Book
Sketch books are essential to my designs and my business.
I use sketch books for many things such as drawing in them to convey a landscape design concept to a client or writing notes during a consultation or a combination of notes and sketches when analyzing a site.
My favorite sketch book by far is by a company called Minimalism Art. They carry many different types and sizes but I prefer the 5” x 8.3” dotted style. That size makes if very convenient for me to carry it with me at all times.

They come in several colors and i like to buy a different color each time. Since I love the orderliness of grids, I like their ‘dotted’ style as it is a lighter grid style than their ‘squared’ grid. They also carry them in ‘ruled’ and ‘plain’ if you prefer working on those types of media styles.
The other features I love are the two attached ribbon bookmarks, the inside back cover pocket to keep cards and loose papers, and the elastic band which keeps it closed when not using it.
