Rainy Season is Here - El Dorado Hills Landscape Architect & Garden Designer
What’s this water falling from the sky today!? ;)
One month before the unofficial start of the rainy season here in the Sacramento region, we are already getting rain. Today’s showers were short-lived and it will be interesting to see how much rain we’ll get this season.
It’s a great sign for our environment and along with the cooler temperatures we’re experiencing, it means our current planting projects can be scheduled to be installed.
It also means our maintenance division will be adding some new tasks such as removing leaf litter and reseeding lawns.
The only hinderance of rain is working in wet site conditions and the possibility of erosion. Unless the rain is coming down strong, we still work in it and use a number of preventative measures to ensure soil erosion is mitigated.
Here’s to a successful rainy season to keep us out of drought conditions!
If you have a garden project or landscape that needs maintenance, we’d love the opportunity to meet and provide you with a free estimate. Please schedule an appointment with us here: https://www.gill-gardens.com/schedule-appointment
